Creator and business profiles on Hiya are designed to be discoverable within the platform. By creating a profile, you understand that:

• Your profile information, username, profile photo, and creator metrics may be visible to other registered users
• Connected social account information and follower data may appear in search and discovery features
• Businesses may view your creator profile for collaboration and campaign purposes
• Your profile may appear in platform-curated discovery lists and recommendations

You can control certain visibility settings through your account settings. Some information, such as your display name and general creator metrics, is necessary for platform functionality and may always be visible to other users.

Users may voluntarily connect social media accounts to their Hiya profile. Connected account information may be used to:

• Display creator profiles and social presence
• Improve discoverability within the platform
• Verify account ownership and display follower or subscriber counts, platform handles, profile links, and profile images
• Refresh public audience counts periodically so creator profiles remain accurate

Google and YouTube data:

• Hiya requests read-only YouTube access solely to verify that the user controls the selected YouTube channel
• During authorization, Hiya retrieves the channel ID, channel name, public profile image, public profile link, and subscriber count
• Hiya does not request permission to upload, edit, or delete videos, manage comments, or access passwords
• The temporary Google authorization token is not retained by Hiya and is revoked after channel verification
• Hiya stores the public YouTube channel ID and public profile information so the subscriber count can be refreshed through the YouTube Data API
• Disconnecting the YouTube account removes it from the user’s Hiya profile; users may also request deletion through Hiya’s Data Deletion page

Hiya’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Hiya does not claim ownership of connected social content. Connecting a social account is voluntary and subject to that platform's own terms and privacy policies.

Payment processing on Hiya may be handled by Stripe and other third-party financial service providers.

Regarding payment data:

• Hiya does not store full payment card numbers or sensitive financial credentials
• Payment processors independently collect and handle financial information according to their own privacy policies
• Subscription billing and creator payouts may involve third-party financial providers
• Payout information such as banking details may be shared with payment processors to facilitate transfers

To maintain a safe and professional platform, Hiya may collect and retain information related to:

• Abuse reports and user complaints submitted by other users
• Screenshots or evidence uploaded as part of a report

This information is reviewed internally by the Hiya team to investigate potential violations, enforce platform policies, and maintain community safety. Moderation records may be retained even after account deletion to prevent future abuse.
